Ubisofts VD Yves Guillemot har nyligen gjort en intervju med Variety där han säger att vi i framtiden inte kommer se några fler spelkonsoler. Faktum är att han tror att nästa konsol-generation blir den sista som görs.
Guillemot säger till Variety:
“I think we will see another generation, but there is a good chance that step-by-step we will see less and less hardware. With time, I think streaming will become more accessible to many players and make it not necessary to have big hardware at home.”
Om Guillemot har rätt och vi går över helt till streaming även med TV-spel återstår att se, nästa generations konsoler förväntas komma runt 2020-2021.
